A Handlist of Rhetorical Terms by Richard A. Lanham – Paperback – University of California Press

I find this inspiring. Besides valuing rhetoric the ancient Greeks valued moderation too. It’s pretty straightforward but it kind of wordy and rhetoricl for my taste but what can you say it’s English textbook for this class I’m just happy I didn’t really have to do I use it a lot.

Under the example, allusion, and citation of authority it lists Rhetoric has nothing to do with words in the singular but everything to do with them in combinations. Without this book, I might not have known that Allen Ginsberg employs the anaphora in his poem “Howl”or that the dialogues of John Travolta’s and Samuel L.
