mathleen I wish that Judith McNaught’s publishers would put her books on Kindle. The first example of that came on the night of their wedding, when she refused to consummate with him and he agreed not to lay a hand on her until she was ready.
I just imagine this foppish older gentleman, practically in rococo, going around staring at rosd boobs and copping a feel. And while she provides vivid kathleeen and details, This is my first book by Kathleen Woodiwiss, purchased because of the numerous positive reviews. Throughout the entire novel, there is not a single flaw in the hero.
The main character, Erienne, is a young woman from a relatively poor family even though her father is the mayor who ends up being sold to the highest bidder for marriage because said father is a totally selfish dick with an alcohol problem. Why did he think pretending to be a crippled ‘monster’ would help his case?

Finally, Avery simply decides to sell her to the highest bidder. I actually do not believe I have met a whinier, more vapid, uninteresting heroine. I liked him being around because it actually brought feelings out of Erienne and he would sometimes say funny things.
Somewhere I have a the paperback version with this cover. As Christopher Seton was introduced, sending Erienne through the loop, I was beginning to smile to myself and enjoy their quite offensive interactions. Item s unavailable for purchase. I haven’t read this book in years and years, but I still love it. The H does not rape the h in this book. What Readers Are Saying What do you think? Knowing Father, there owodiwiss a flaw!
