The talents of the Smedry clan are simply brilliant. Although the previous two books kind of disappointed me, this one lived up to expectations! At least unlike the former the latter shows some signs of humanity.

In fact, they’re always changing. Speaking about parents there was an interesting plot twist at the end which unfortunately was overshadowed by a use of Deux Ex Machina or something that felt like one to me. The ocean is a…her? The only thing that made me te about this book is that Sanderson doesn’t know when he’ll be able to write the final book in the series. Alcatraz Smedry, the boy with the incredible Talent for breaking things, has a shatgered to prove and little time in which to do it.

Now I don’t have to wait “forever” to see how the alter scene plays out.
