I became very frustrated at parts of the book because he would name styles and actual architectural features and I just didn’t know what he meant because of the lack of definitions or corresponding photos.

The Early and Classic Gothic Style: A useful book, but the layout doesn’t lend itself to quick referencing and can be daunting to a new comer upon the topic; its more of a complete read through for someone who already has an intermediate knowledge of the topic.
