I’ve had similar problems: When I say it crashes, the ‘grey export box’ that appears saying the map is crawhes is showed, however no pdf is created. ArcGIS seems to be highly profile dependent, so some obscure setting in your zrcmap resulting from whatever perhaps a failed install of a MS patch 18 months ago, who knows will cause issues.
