Knowing that Drew is leaving England, his ship seems the perfect answer to both her need for transportation and vengeance. Overnight, she turned into a bitter woman, hating the world and everything in it, crying over a man who wasn’t even hers.
LOL Hopefully next time she will realize that while I love the Malorys and love revisiting them from time to time, this shouldn’t be about them.
I shamelessly love these ‘captive at sea’ type books and for a moment I thought I had found another Johanna Lindsey gem, but she quickly proved me wrong. It gets around town immediately I could have done with a more considerate hero, however Thanks for telling us about the problem. But I can’t say the same for Drew, the “hero.
They were fitting very well together and they both went to extreme depths to have the upper hand You can’t skip a horrible character when it is his story you’re reading. Gabrielle Brooks knows that finding the perfect husband isn’t going to be easy.

It’s a small thing and the majority of the book was great and it was even entertaining for those bad moments just not leading to a HEA without some real working through their issues for my taste. Drew from the other hand, can’t let himself loose near to Gabrielle because she is not the right kind of woman for vesires, because of her father’s status and the opinion that he has of her and because he can’t never give her what she really wants The fact that he owns his own ship and loves living at sea is a big plus for him.
But her mother’s death left Gabrielle feeling utterly alone.
If they are not in or matter to the story, I don’t need to know what has happened to them since the last book. Having only recently arrived in England, Drew Anderson is a guest of the Malorys when Gabrielle arrives.
But whatever, authors get old and feeble and can’t type as well so they have to hire a ghostwriter. Georgina’s brother Drew is quite handsome but says he’s a confirmed bachelor. Middle-aged with bright red hair, vivid blue eyes, and a host of freckles, she was opinionated, outspoken, and not at all awed by aristocrats.
The Malory series has to be one of the longest running with its first book published in and Captive of My Desires representing its eight installment. Enlisting the help of her father’s pirate cronies, Gabrielle commandeers Drew’s ship and takes him prisoner. Media Captive of My Desires. She had enough aristocracy in her ancestry, even if she bore no title herself, to look down on anyone in tradeeven her own husband.
I think it would have helped immensely if we got to see more of the story from his perspective.
Her character’s introduction in the Caribbean was interesting and her reunion with her father was funny. It wasn’t the captain who’d given her the order, though. If she hadn’t been certain of that, she never would have booked passage to this side of the world.
