Today I caught sight of it again and when I pulled it down off the shelf and began reading I knew it was the perfect follow-on to Your Life in the Holy Spirit: We yearn to restore our spirits in God, to simply let go in him and gain new strength to go on living. Raw, fecund, unafraid, mystical. Von Balthasar asks questions, ponders mysteries and revisits Biblical scenes. Have been been reading these essays off and on at Adoration even while reading Growth In Holiness. Reading this was one of the most rewarding choices I’ve made so far this year.
