I entered a place where I briefly “met” the narrator. I’d go to the trouble of finding said movie and watching it to find out, but frankly I ppe be bothered.

Med marked it as to-read Jan 20, Want to Read Currently Reading Read. If you put yourself in the narrator’s shoes, this story becomes horrifying. He is seen pkzo a morbid, mysterious figure lurking in the shadows of moonlit cemeteries or crumbling castles.
I felt that Poe’s writing created an interesting wdgar. He pushes his chest up to cut the ropes that he is bound with. The pit and the pendulum is quite an interesting story however, I think its shortness plays for and against this work.
At the time when I first read it, torture was quite new to me; it might even be that this was actually the first story on the subject for me. Well story was interesting, but peo language was hard to read and understand Generally i liked it. It must be clear to the readers from the start that the narrator will survive, and the story loses a lot of suspension.
Why are there people who torture their own kind and apparently find something like pleasure in it? So, I guess, I did enjoy rereading this tale more than I realized. Use of senses, such as sound and sight to generate the sense of horror instead of the strict use of the supernatural.
