I don’t think people living in Northern Norway think they live very far north either.
Baddeley has made an entertaining, highly enjoyable, and incredibly important piece of work which was for me both an important lesson as well as a treat to read. He continues by having me say that Scandinavia is a depressing place that is always cold and “especially in my hometown. Jul 08, Kurt Zisa rated it liked it. The author being a Laveyite overall makes this book better I think, but on some levels hurts it because while he really goes out of his way The title is somewhat deceptive because while the “Satanic” influence in music is the bulk of this book, its more like Satanism in pop culture and the author trying to set the record straight on what he considers Satanism to be, which is Laveyism.

My husband, Stephen Kasner, is mentioned in this book, so I recommend it for that reason. An interesting look into a not widely known about subculture.
And thank God Odin I never gave him an interview! The only reason they claimed this was to make me look bad. We don’t even have a bail system in Norway either, for that sake. In Trondheim too, where I am now, the climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers. Though Baddeley is obviously a staunch supporter not unopinionated whatsoever of paganism, hedonism, or whatever other label you could use to describe the annals of the broad concept of “Satanism”, this undoubtedly gives him a unique insight into the influence that what I’ll call “evil” has had on our modern pop culture.

Sep 17, Marcel Schot rated it it was ok. Knowing what an unprofessional Baddeley is I really cannot criticize Lee Barrett in this context, though, as I have no idea whether he actually said this or if Baddeley is just making this up too.
A real work of art.
I know “LoC” has been criticized for focusing too much on me, and after reading it I can only tell I agree. I will defend virtually every belief system, but not this one. Such mendacious lunacy aside, Lucifer Rising proved popular, helping to open a debate on Satanism, and I am particularly gratified by the number of people who say it introduced them to new music, new writers, new ways of looking at the world. I had never heard about the book and she was kind enough to send it to me.

On the next page he claims we, the cadre of Euronymous presumably, dismissed all others as racially inferior, including the Swedes according to him. Some interesting stuff, but it feels biased, uninformative and skewed in favor of the author’s own spiritual beliefs.
Now, I am not very interested in Satanism, but after reading tavin of Chaos” “LoC” I was curious to see what this book was all about – and why I was included in it.
As a kid growing up forced to go to private school run by Baptists, I was always fascinated by what I was supposed to stay away from. Baxdeley minutes later I have reached page well, You don’t expect me to read all this crap, do You? Northern Norway is far north to me, and the North Pole is very far north.
