Searles is a good writer when he wants to be. The meeting place is an old church, and Sylvie is told to stay in the car while the parents go inside hoping to talk with Rose. Meanwhile, Abbeville Chief of Police Ivy Holgrave is investigating the death of a local girl, convinced this may only be the latest in a long line of murders dating back decades – including her own long-missing sister. But for all the time spent uncovering their history, her parents remain murky set pieces, their paranormal abilities and activities never wholly understood.

I am looking forward to reading more by this author. The couple dabbles in spiritualism, albeit heavily cloaked in Christianity.
Some, like yours, burn brighter than others. A Head Full of Ghosts: Sylvie, however, is resilient and determined to uncover secrets about her parents that may have lead to their death. They are fantastic in size. I felt it got a little muddled in the last fourth of the book but it ended quite like I thought it would. What’s the Name o But just what is happening in the basement now, sounds that seem to emanate from beneath the house, it seems like something below is not happy that Sylvie’s parents are no longer among the living and are deeply upset hlp the current state of things.
I had a few small issues with this story, but I was still very happy I got to read this novel. There was a problem filtering reviews right now.
