I needed to learn the basics of Tarot so I could bring it into a story I was writing, so this was basically research. An old classic, the book I learned Tarot with. What is the History of this Course?
My only criticism would be that her organization did not always make sense to me. You can use this course while connected to the Internet, just as you are now. This is a good deck to start with because there are pictures on every card which helps when you are learning. Lessons cover topics such as how to consider one card by itself, how to look for card pairs, and how to create ttarot “story” of a reading.
Bynning, there’s not much to criticize here.

It’s a fine book, not too long, does what it says on the packet. If you don’t have a deck, read through my comments on buying your first deck and then browse through my Tarot Deck Section. For the individual cards, she provides key words that sum up the card, as well as a more detailed look at each card, but as always she encourages you to find meanings that are unique to you. I bunnlng found the Universal Waite Tarot Deck she uses for illustrations to be an excellent learning and reading deck. I have other tarot books for beginners but this beats them all. This book contains great exercises for learning the cards. You will find you get even more insight from it the second time around.
