He icean around doing stuff, but almost everything is told, not shown.
There is no connection made with Larten. It is written in third person point of view, unlike Darren Shan’s other books.
Megs Goodlet rated it did not like it Sep 16, I enjoyed these prequels and wished I read them first. However, as Larten matures, he finds himself feeling restless and disappointed with his regimented life within Vampire Mountain.

I’m sorry but I’m giving up on the Larten Crepsley saga now. Book 2 of the Saga was just as good as book 1, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. But not these books. I would only recommend this to people who have read all of the Cirque Du Freak books.
