I was very aggitated because I was reading “The Story Siren”s review because I know she doesn’t give spoilers, but mistakenly read a comment to her review that gave a complete spoiler! Will I continue with the series I own the second. I tried reading Soulless and that was a dnf. The story goes a little something like this – Elizabeth is this amazing beauty, she’s prim and proper and considered a true lady I wonder sometimes what i I will admit to be a super Gossip Girl fan.
White lies, dark secrets, and scandalous hookups. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series: Well these young ladies don’t want to conform or follow the rules. I have seen the series described as Gossip Girl set in and I can’t say that is inaccurate. She felt trapped in her position as servant and longed for something more which I can relate to and more than anything, she wanted to feel loved as a beautiful woman.

I have to admit that going into this book, I wasn’t expecting much. Naturally their forbiden love is kept a secret. I appreciated this since it gave insight into the servants, too often just props in period fiction, showing how they felt towards their employers and vice versa. Did you notice who reviewed the books on the back?
If you enjoy reading about gossip, drama, backstabbing, period settings and pretty dresses without too much substance every once in a while, I’d recommend this book. One, because its a Historical Romance. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought that this books was set in the present time.
Book by Godbersen, Anna. It looked better than that. It felt a bit like someone dragging me by my hair toward the next book — just a little too much. I felt so bad for Elizabeth throughout the entire story and the horrible situation she was put goddbersen.
I know the person didn’t share it intending to ann people but there it is! Many people believe that family interfering in a relationship does not occur.

I ended up giving it 3 stars due to the ending and cliff hanger I didn’t see coming. It is, as the name implies, very luxe. I totally gobersen this book to anyone and every, especially Marra, Grace, and my aunt. Most people are referring to this book as Gossip Girl meets Jane Austen. She’s the most straight-forward of all the characters, and spiteful, and duplicitous, and you have to admire her tenacity.
The author did a perfect job of laying out the chapters, I thought, and the characters were splendid. Diana loves Henry secretly too.
