It’s wrapped around by wonderful fantasy, and the voice of the narrator is fun — a storyteller’s voice, really: The Magician’s Nephew [Nov 9, ] 2 8 Nov 14, I have to admit I discovered the film versions first.

I know that for a lot of people, the magic is spoiled when they find out that Aslan is really Jesus, that this first book is an allegory for Genesis, that the whole thing is full of Christian themes. I don’t have any reason to believe he is an Asian lion, but I again haven’t read the entire series yet so that could be explored in future novels where Aslan spends his childhood as a small lion cub in Beijing before creating Narnia later in life.


Did anyone else read this as the first book? The Narnia books have always been some of my favourites. It just puts a smile on your face, whether you read it for the first time as an adult or you relive some of the moments of you childhood through it.

Lewis does a beautiful job of capturing both the grandeur and awe of Creation here. There’s always been a magic in it for me, even now I’m twenty — I never got to the age where I was too old for fairytales.

But I am so glad I re-read this again – aside from giving it another star, It is a little darker than the other Narnia books, but it still has the old sweet scent of Narnia – but a wilder, tangier scent – it feels different from all the other Narnia books.

They decide to explore a different world before returning to England, and jump into one of the nearby pools. The story begins in London during the summer of Ultimately, the song of Aslan leads them to the creation of a new world, a world that will be known as Narnia.

This was a wonderful beginning to the story and I absolutely loved the symbolism. It also depends on what sort of person you are. All things considered, I really enjoyed this story. The idea of witnessing a world just beginning The writing is always clear and easy to read and tastes quite nice, if you’re that kind of synaesthete — in my experience, anyway.

Y en Narnia, todas cosas son posibles. And knowing where that magical wardrobe from The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe comes from was amazing.

So there’s all these cool references to Creation and sin, but in the guise of a children’s fantasy story. Well, I guess I’ve read two now, but I feel like I should have read those a long time ago. I remembered that this was essentially Narnia’s Creation story.

It was awesome to read about the origins of Narnia. Amazon Drive Cloud storage from Amazon. I also like that I don’t really know some of the characters well, but feel like the less important ones are gonna be showing up later on down the road. Maybe when their older they will have a longer attention span and a better appreciation of great books.

Looking forward to read the rest of the chronicles in their chronological order. That, or I passed through it so quickly I’m already out the other side. Get to Know Us. This was a fun adventure though!

Short, exciting, and provides explanations for how the Narnia, the wardrobe and the White Witch all came to be. The end of the sobrjno becomes a retelling of sorts of the story of the creation story from the bible. He wrote sobrinl than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year. I kept wondering why I did and figured out because of its voice that was very classic and magical that I didn’t want it to be over.

I’m really glad I picked up these books and finally got around to reading them.
